Concept

We have a number of old recordings (some poor quality) which would be of interest to past members and other interested parties. Currently nobody can see them unless they get them from the archive.

By digitising the recordings and re-editing if necessary, we could produce a range of 'G&S Classics' which would then be sold through the website for £5 each.

Implementation

As mentioned on the Recordings page, this would be greatly simplified by using an online on-demand printing company like Lulu.com to produce these on demand as they are ordered. We could mark-up about 50p a copy, and still sell them for £5 each, plus postage.

We could potentially make more money by doing it ourselves, but this requires time to produce the product, and we have to ship it ourselves, etc. Lead time is likely to be larger than using an online company.
