Stuart Roberts

Having joined the society in October 2004 knowing almost nothing about G&S, Stuart's speed-learning abilities and the society's corrupting influence combined to produce someone who, by the following summer, was as much of a G&S geek as the most advanced geeks of the rest of us.

A stalwart of the chorus and committee for many years, Stuart has so far appeared in Ida 05, Another Openin', Another Show, Patience 06, Guys and Dolls, Pirates 07, Kaleidoshow, Ruddigore 08, the summer show of 2008 and Mikado 09.

As well as helping provide the first tenors with volume (not that they usually need it!) and exercising his falsetto, (some of those notes just weren't right) Stuart had to cope with a very interesting change of mood during Kaleidoshow, going straight from hyperactive Riff Raff (Rocky Horror) to depressed Marius (Les Mis) in a matter of seconds. His character in the 2008 summer show was somewhat easier to play, being far more in character. He was also a soloist in You Can't Stop The Beat.

Stuart then played the mysterious J.W. Wells in The Sorcerer 2010, and will play a yeoman in Yeomen 12.

Despite this, some would say his greatest moment remains taking on and defeating all the police alone in Pirates 07. The Dread Pirate Roberts rules!
